The building
Vernon Jubilee Hospital's new construction added patient, treatment and public areas to an existing acute-care campus in the North Okanagan.
A hospital build puts every kind of opening in one contract: patient rooms that need dependable darkening, corridors and public areas with large glazed elevations, and clinical spaces where the fabric has to be cleanable and flame-rated.
What we did
We took the package off the construction drawings, confirmed every opening on site, and supplied and installed the shading assemblies through the building — contract-grade roller and solar shade assemblies from manufacturers whose flame-rated fabric programs suit health facilities.
Installation was sequenced with the general contractor's schedule so finished areas could be turned over without rework.
Why it matters
Healthcare work is where a commercial specification proves itself: product that cleans, hardware that survives daily use in a 24-hour building, and a supplier who still answers the phone for parts years later.
